Our amazing Human Resources Manager, Maria Jose Contreras, recently reached a milestone in the HR industry—after studying hard and completing various programs through Cornell and Columbia Universities over the course of two years, she passed her certification exam and was awarded the status of SHRM-CP by SHRM!
Around the same time, our clinical team asked to have a celebration specifically for Maria to recognize her for all her hard work and what she does for our organization. For those who may not be familiar with Maria’s role, she is the HR Manager at Gramercy Surgery Center and manages all HR-related issues for just shy of 100 people.
I’m certain those in HR understand but Maria has not only been an HR Manager for our team but also our event planner, marketer, internal communications coordinator, emotional support pillar, confidant, and friend. Very thankful to have someone like Maria on our team. It’s always an amazing thing when our team members are able to grow with us!
