Gramercy Surgery Center Remains Open For Elective Surgeries

New York State Governor Kathy Hochul has signed an executive order on Friday November 26, 2021 that will allow the Department of Health to limit non-essential, non-urgent procedures for hospitals with limited capacity, in order to protect access to critical health care services. Limited capacity is defined as below 10% staffed bed capacity, or as determined by the Department of Health based on regional health care utilization factors. The protocols will take effect on Friday, December 3, 2021, and be re-assessed based on the data on January 15, 2022.

As Gramercy Surgery Center is a freestanding ambulatory surgery center, the order does not impact our facility and we will remain open for elective surgery, allowing surgeons to continue providing healthcare for their patients. We offer COVID testing, a trained multi-specialty clinical team, and a safe clinical environment. To help provide New Yorkers with access to healthcare during this time, we continue to welcome all current surgeons as well as new surgeons to Gramercy Surgery Center.
