Brachytherapy for Prostate Cancer
Brachytherapy for the treatment of prostate cancer has a distinguished history at Gramercy Surgery Center. In 2007, we were the first freestanding ambulatory surgery center in New York State, and among the first in the nation, to offer a brachytherapy program. When compared to traditional settings, Gramercy Surgery Center has a lower infection rate, higher patient satisfaction levels and is the ideal setting for patients with already compromised immune systems. It has since earned us a reputation as an innovative surgery center committed to excellence and high-quality care. We’re excited to relaunch this treatment option at our Queens location in 2022.
Our experienced team is skilled in using brachytherapy to treat prostate cancer. Brachytherapy can provide a very localized and precise treatment that’s less than an hour. This innovative procedure provides one of the most successful treatment outcomes for prostate cancer. Even though we offer the latest radiation therapy, we never forget the human side of our work. If you have questions regarding your surgery, our facilities or our team please feel free to contact us.
